Job Description

The company seeks to further expand with the addition of a Japanese-speaking business developer who will hold the ability to further develop our business and brand in the Japanese market.

This is a permanent full-time position offering an excellent salary and benefits plus exceptional career prospects. The successful candidate will likely come from a background in online Key Account Management or Business Development.

Requirements

-Near native fluency in Japanese (spoken, reading, writing) and English
-2+ years’ relevant corporate sales experience in Japan operating at the highest of decision maker levels, particularly at D and C level
-Strong business development skills and proven past performances
-Relevant third-level degree with strong results
-An excellent attitude and the drive to overachieve
-Ability to quickly understand business issues and identify ways to communicate business benefits to prospective clients
-Previous experience in a highly self-directed role while reporting to a team remotely
-Microsoft suite skills, in particular in PowerPoint and Word
-Ability to work in a demanding, performance-driven environment
-Excellent negotiation, account management, organizational and time management skills
-Strong understanding of Japanese culture and Japanese business acumen
-Preference will be given to candidates with existing networks in relevant markets
Responsibilities

-Identify and develop new business opportunities and lead acquisition initiatives, including international travel whilst brokering and optimising strategic partnerships and sales
-Craft, present and close compelling value propositions
-Develop and facilitate effective business and cross-functional relationships at all levels
-Exceed challenging qualified lead acquisition and sales targets in line with business strategy
-Contribute to sales collateral, suggesting changes to ensure all final documents are high-quality, impactful and in-line with Shaw Academy’s vision and branding
-Track online marketing campaigns and report on successes
