Working and Employment opportunities in Ireland

Ireland has around 6.5 million people living in it and most are employed in the services sector.

The major growth industries in Ireland are ICT (software and hardware), Accounting and Auditing, Innovation and Intellectual Property, Green Sector Jobs, Business Services and Medical and Healthcare.

After a dismal few years caused by the global recession, Ireland is just about back into growth and many multi-national firms have headquarters here, lured perhaps by the low tax incentives created by the Irish Government.

Ireland does have natural resources and their GDP isn’t all based on hi-tech industry, Gas and Ore deposits are mined and exported in large amounts and agriculture is still a major contributor to the economy.
